Bank of Pontiac

I really wanted to play basketball. It was April or May, and the high school and college seasons were over. The NBA, of course, went on until June. Since joining the Bank of Pontiac in April, I hadn’t found anybody with the right connections to a basketball league or park district team or just a group of guys who wanted to play on a regular basis. Now, I had met a guy in the bank in charge of car floor plans with the dealers. I thought at the time he was a little bit overweight to be much of a basketball player, but maybe back in the day… He did not invite me to join that league, or even to watch them play. I don’t remember…
