Oma Green Spillman

Oma Green SpIllman was our grandfather. He had over 20 grandchildren. Oma Green Spillman, sometimes known as OG, was born on October 12, 1899, in Green County, Kentucky. Perhaps his middle name came from the county name in which he was born. He died on November 16, 1980, in Taylorville, Illinois. He is buried in the Edinburg Cemetery. I remember this story being told that when he returned to Green County, Kentucky, his remaining family met him with their shotguns out just in case he was a revenuer or some other kind of northern carpetbagger.
